Indoor Golf in Kentucky

Indoor golf in Kentucky is a growing part of the state's broader golf scene.

Kentucky winters are cold and wet enough to shut down much of the outdoor calendar from December through February, with shoulder seasons adding indoor-friendly weeks on either side. Summer heat and humidity push some midday play indoors as well.

Kentucky golf culture runs through the bourbon country and bluegrass tradition — country club roots in Lexington and Louisville, and a strong municipal layer outside the metros. The indoor scene has grown notably in the last few years.

Louisville and Lexington are the two anchor markets. Northern Kentucky (Covington, Florence) functions as part of greater Cincinnati's indoor scene. Bowling Green and the Western Kentucky markets are sparsely served.
