About Five Iron Golf
Five Iron Golf opened in 2017 in Manhattan's Flatiron District, founded by Jared Solomon, Katherine Solomon, Nora Dunnan, and Mike Doyle. The brand has since expanded to more than 30 locations across five countries while keeping its New York City headquarters.
Every Five Iron is built around TrackMan simulators, high-speed swing cameras, and a library of over 200 virtual courses. Locations also operate as bars and restaurants, deliberately positioned for the after-work and group-outing market — a contrast to the suburban-strip-mall format other indoor-golf chains favor.
Five Iron is concentrated in dense U.S. metros (New York, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, DC) with international locations in cities like Tokyo and Toronto. The chain skews toward urban professionals; venues frequently host leagues, corporate events, and instructor-led lessons.
CEO Jared Solomon was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2025 in the New York region. The Solomons announced an investment in Tiger Woods's TGL-affiliated New York Golf Club in early 2025, with Five Iron designated the official watch-party location.
