GolfIndoors.com is a directory of indoor golf facilities, equipment, installers, and instructors. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it — in plain English.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash — we never see or store your actual password). If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us; we don't receive your Google password.
Business claim information. If you claim a facility or installer listing, we collect the information needed to verify you're associated with that business — typically your business email address, which we match against the business's website domain.
Content you submit. Reviews, facility information updates, photos you upload to listings you manage, and any other content you choose to publish on the site.
Payment information. If you purchase a paid listing upgrade, payment is processed by PayPal. We receive confirmation that you paid and your subscription status — we never see or store your card number, bank details, or PayPal credentials.
Usage analytics. We use Clicky, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the site is used — pages visited, general location (city level), browser type. This helps us improve the site. We don't use advertising trackers.
Email interactions. When we send you email (account verification, welcome messages, notifications about your listings), our email provider records delivery status so we know whether messages reached you.
What we use it for
- Operating your account and letting you sign in
- Verifying and managing business listing claims
- Publishing content you choose to share
- Processing paid listing subscriptions
- Sending transactional email you'd expect (verification, receipts, notifications about listings you manage)
- Understanding site usage so we can improve it
- Keeping the site secure and preventing abuse
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email you didn't ask for.
Who processes data on our behalf
Like most websites, we rely on a small set of service providers to run the site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Supabase — database hosting (account and listing data)
- Vercel — website hosting
- Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, and image storage
- Google — sign-in, if you choose to use Google OAuth
- PayPal — payment processing for paid listings
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Clicky — usage analytics
Cookies
We use cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. Our analytics provider (Clicky) may set a cookie to distinguish visits. We don't use advertising cookies.
How long we keep information
Account information is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to keep records for legitimate business purposes (for example, records of paid transactions). Published business listing information (facility details, hours, equipment) is directory content and remains published — it describes a business, not a person.
Your choices
- Access and correction. You can view and update your account information at any time by signing in.
- Deletion. Email support@golfindoors.com to request account deletion.
- Google account. You can revoke GolfIndoors.com's access to your Google account at any time via your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
GolfIndoors.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@golfindoors.com and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
