About Tee Box
Tee Box opened in 2021 in Ogden, Utah, founded by Preston Unck. The brand has since grown to 25+ corporate locations across Utah and is expanding into California, Texas, and Idaho through a franchise program launched in 2023 in partnership with TrackMan.
Every Tee Box location is built around TrackMan simulators with the company's Optically Enhanced Radar Tracking system — dual radar sensors plus a front-facing camera. The format leans toward training over entertainment: PGA-certified and TPI-certified instructors, swing analysis, fitness assessments, club fitting and repair, and a Puttview putting facility on-site at most locations.
The chain's marketing pitch — "30 minutes at Tee Box is comparable to 90 minutes on the course" — reflects the structured-training positioning. Locations also host youth programs, corporate events, and league play, but the core differentiator is the integrated coaching layer that most simulator chains don't try to deliver.
Tee Box is privately held and headquartered in Ogden, Utah. A partnership with the NBA's Utah Jazz puts a Tee Box footprint inside the Delta Center, an unusual format for the chain and an outlier relative to its standard strip-mall locations.
