The ProTee VX launch monitor by ProTee United is one of the most popular overhead units available today. It’s also the launch monitor I chose for my own space.
The ProTee VX offers a great price-to-value ratio. ProTee Labs’ innovative software has all the features I need to improve my game, and third-party connections to popular golf simulator software, such as GSPRO, come without an additional subscription cost.
Perhaps even more importantly, support for the unit has been fantastic. Live chat support is available 24/7, and they can even remotely access the unit to diagnose any issues and help guide you through the setup process.
Club stickers and special balls are not required to get accurate results.
The unit is easy to install, calibrate, and use. If you have any issues, customers have access to live chat support 24/7. Support reps can even remotely access your device to help ensure calibration and proper setup.

ProTee Labs
The ProTee Labs software is easy to use versatile, and highly customizable. Drag and drop the data points and features you want to focus on.
I personally have a tab setup for working on my swing, warming up on the range, and one for floor projection data.
Pro Tip: Display ProTee Labs on a secondary monitor when using third-party software like GSPRO, so you can still use features like the impact and swing replay videos.

Is The ProTee VX Good For Short Game?
Short game performance is extremely good with the ProTee VX, quickly and accurately tracking putts and chips of all types. The impact replay feature is also a great tool for evaluating your putting stroke and chipping action.
How Big Is The Hitting Area
The ProTee VX launch monitor has a large configurable ball hitting area, coming in at 25 inches wide by 21 inches long (65 cm x 55 cm).
The large hitting area easily accommodates right and left-handed golfers, offering a flexible ball placement area to spread out wear on your hitting surface.
Some users even mount the ProTee VX on a slide to allow a quick change for offset hitting positions.
Pro Tip For Users With Hitting Strips: With a common size of 12×30 for most hitting strips, calibrate the ProTee VX hitting area to allow you to putt off your putting turf outside of the hitting strip, for a flat and true roll every time.
How ProTee VX Uses Artificial Intelligence
ProTee VX uses a combination of high-speed infrared cameras and artificial intelligence to collect data. The artificial intelligence is used mostly for club data, and is also trained to detect what type of club you are using, dexterity, and face club tracking.
Because ProTee VX doesn’t “dimple track” it also has “spin AI” which is used when the cameras fail to track the logo or pattern of a golf ball.
It’s important to note that the ProTee VX lauch monitor does not use A.I for ball and flight data, which is measured by the cameras. Instead, it uses AI to detect which club you are using and “lock on” to the club using virtual stickers (instead of actual club stickers), and ball, learning to improve as it goes.
The models are constantly being updated, and ProTee United releases frequent software updates with additions and improvements.
Warranty
A purchase of a ProTee VX launch monitor comes with a limited one-year warranty, covering defects and malfunctions. In the rare case of an issue or faulty unit, there is a standard process that customers must follow to initiate a claim.
I have full faith that ProTee United stands behind it’s product and quickly addresses any issues.
