What golf simulator enclosure and impact screen should you buy?
One of the biggest challenges when planning your indoor golf space is determining which golf simulator enclosure and impact screen you should purchase.
With a wide range of options available, ranging from budget to premium, we’ll help simply the process for you.

DIY Enclosures
Some choose to cut their own pipe, build their own frames, and purchase fabric for their enclosure to save on costs. This works well but requires more time and DIY skills.
Some of the most popular golf simulator enclosure makers also sell discounted DIY versions to help save on cost. Usually these kits come with everything you need to assemble a golf hitting enclosure, without the EMT pipe.
You’ll then source your own EMT pipe at a big box store like Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards and cut it yourself to fit.
Tip: Check facebook marketplace for good deals on EMT pipe, contractors often have them taking up space after construction projects and are willing to sell at a significant discount.
Turnkey Enclosures
Golf simulator enclosures that are easy to put together are available from manufactures like Carls Place, Shop Indoor Golf, and Bullseye.
There are even some budget golf simulator enclosures made by GoSports.
Built In Enclosures
For a high end look, built in golf simulator enclosures are the best option. The main requirement for a built in golf simulator is to have framed walls that border your indoor golf space.
Instead of having to purchase the EMT pipe and fabric for a traditional enclosure, purchase the built in impact screen and install it following the manufactur instructions.
Note: this requires more DIY skill than pipe framed enclosures.
The cost of an impact screen for a built in golf simulator is usually less, but keep in mind you’ll likely have to purchase padding and bumpers for the walls and ceiling to complete the look.
What About Impact Screens?
We highly recommend only purchasing premium triple layer impact screens. While “standard” and “preferred” screens are available at a much cheaper cost, the quality of your impact screen will effect the projector picture quality more than any other factor with the exception of the amount of light control you have in your space.
